My Three-Step Brand Method: From Overwhelm to Consistent Premium Clients
Welcome to the Business Mindset Style Podcast—a show for women in business who want to make an impact, grow a profitable online business, and live a rich life filled with freedom and fulfillment. I’m Nina Walder, your host, and today I’m sharing how I transformed my business from constant overwhelm and endless content creation to irresistible positioning and a simple marketing system that brings in premium clients consistently and predictably.
Why This Matters (and Who This Is For)
This is the method I wish I’d known five years ago. Even as a smart, hardworking woman with a bachelor’s and master’s in business from top schools and work experience in marketing, it still took me months to figure this out. What I’m sharing today will save you months—if not years—of trial and error.
This episode is for you if:
- You have no online presence yet and are just toying with the idea of starting an online business (maybe as a side hustle).
- You already have some presence online, you’re posting consistently, you’re active, but you’re not getting the results you want for all the hard work you’re putting in.
Whether you’re just starting or you want different results from your current efforts, this is for you.
Special Invitation: Clients & Clarity Masterclass

My Story: From Overwhelm to Clarity
Five years ago, I started on Instagram thinking, “How hard can it be? I’ll just post good content in my niche, look professional, and clients will come.” I thought growing my audience would bring clients. So, I started creating content nonstop. I was literally online all the time—filming, searching for viral reels to copy or recreate, replying to comments, engaging on the app. I bought courses on going viral, growing my account, and taking beautiful Instagram photos. I obsessed over making my feed look pretty and cohesive.
Looking back, I realize: What a waste of time.
I joined popular business memberships and tried a new strategy practically every week. If you’re in a similar situation—at the beginning or already doing it yourself—we’re going to break a lot of these misleading beliefs, because they won’t get you where you want to go.
The Reality: Growth ≠ Clients
Guess what happened? I did grow my account. Not overnight, but I went from 10K to 50K followers by posting daily for six months. Then I thought, “Now it’s time to get clients!” I launched a $27 webinar—three people signed up. Then I launched a $250 offer—four clients.
So far from the dream business I was working so hard to build.
I realized something wasn’t working. Even though I was working hard, growing my account, and doing all the “right” things, I wasn’t getting the results I wanted. I didn’t want to be a blogger or run a hobby. I wanted a real business.
Lesson:
- Posting and hoping for clients doesn’t work.
- Growing your account and assuming you’ll get clients doesn’t work.
- Obsessing over a pretty feed doesn’t work.
- Trying a new strategy every week doesn’t bring you closer to your goals.
The first couple of years in business are the hardest—even if you have a business degree or are a brilliant expert. You have to figure out so many things, go through many iterations and humbling failures. That’s why over 90% of people quit their business in the first year.
The Truth About Followers and Monetization
My story—growing my account but struggling to get clients—is not uncommon. I see it every day. I work behind the scenes with brilliant experts who have not just thousands, but tens of thousands of followers. Many have 50K or even 100K followers, but they’re not monetizing their expertise.
Just growing your account and creating content won’t help you achieve your goals if your goal is to be monetized as an expert.
Being a blogger with a large following and not knowing what to do with it is a very different thing from running a business.
The Turning Point: Investing in Mentorship
At that point, I invested in mentorship—specifically on creating a business online, not just growing my account or going viral. Those are just tactics that might be relevant at different stages, but you need to build the foundation first.
It’s like building a house:
You wouldn’t start by picking the color for your kitchen before you’ve built the foundation. In business, it’s the same. First, you need a solid foundation. Then, everything else—pretty feed, viral content—works only if you have a solid strategy in place.
Even with business degrees, you need another set of eyes—someone who’s a few steps ahead and can guide you. This can collapse time for you.
The Shift: Clarity, Messaging, and Strategic Content
I completely rethought, restructured, and refocused everything. I got extremely clear on the client I wanted to attract—the most profitable version of that client.
- I stopped focusing on just growing my account.
- I clarified my messaging.
- I created an offer tailored exactly to my ideal client—not a general offer for the market, but one perfect for my client and for me.
- I started posting very strategic content—not every day, not just to be active, but with a specific goal and clear strategy to attract my ideal client.
What happened?
Within the first month, I got three incredible clients—my exact dream clients, even better than I could have imagined. They had been in my audience before, but never called in to work with me. The moment I positioned myself differently and changed my strategy, they booked and paid through my website—no questions asked. One was from the States, two from the UK. They became repeat clients and referred many others. They were a pleasure to work with—my first clients from the internet, complete strangers who paid thousands for my service.
This only happened because I got extremely clear on my client and aligned everything in my brand to call in the right client—my message, my offer, my visuals.
This Works for All Stages and Account Sizes
I work with women who are new to coaching and Instagram, and with experienced coaches who have been posting for months or years. Some have thousands of followers, but clients come inconsistently and it’s hard to get them. Once we upgrade their strategic positioning, visuals, authority, and messaging, all of a sudden, people start coming out of the woodwork to book their services.
I’ve had clients with less than 300 followers, or less than 1,000 followers, and suddenly people “wake up” in their audience and book—just because the messaging is right and they’re calling in the right people.
This happens every single time.
What Are Premium Clients?
You can call them dream clients, perfect match clients, or premium clients. It’s not about money—it’s about clients who are ready, interested in hiring you (not just any coach or expert), and not price shopping. They’re committed to working with you because you’ve positioned yourself in a way that makes them see, feel, trust, and like you. They want to work with you specifically.
Premium clients are a pleasure to work with, get results, and give you testimonials.
You attract them through your messaging, visuals, content strategy, offer, and clear selling system.
They are seeking clarity, simplicity, and confidence—not endless tips, tricks, and hacks.
The Three Steps of My Brand Framework
1. Clarity and Consistency
This is where you build trust and make your perfect match client feel seen, understood, and heard.
- Crystal clear message: You need to know what you stand for. If I ask you in three seconds, you should be able to tell me exactly who you help, how you help them, and your method—clearly and memorably.
- Visual alignment: Your brand should be visually consistent and recognizable. This builds trust and makes you stand out in a crowded online space.
People may watch you for a while before reaching out. Most dream clients are quiet—they don’t like, comment, or DM, but they’re watching. When the timing and offer are right, and you speak directly to them, they come out of the woodwork.
Example:
One of my main brand colors is fuchsia. For years, people have told me that whenever they see fuchsia—anywhere—they think of me. They send me messages about seeing fuchsia in stores, magazines, or collections. This is the power of being memorable and consistent.
How you show up online is how people assume you work with clients. If your brand is intentional and consistent, they’ll trust you to bring that same care to your client work.
Without clarity and consistency, you’ll remain invisible, misunderstood, and it will be hard to get clients.
2. Premium, Tailored Offers
You need to become a leader and create offers specifically designed for your ideal client’s deepest needs.
- Don’t be general or compete on price.
- Don’t try to fit the market or be “reasonable.”
- Create a premium offer tailored to your client.
Know who your client is and what their deepest needs are. Be specialized enough and solve a big enough problem that they’re ready to hire you and pay premium rates.
Competing with cheap, reasonable offers is hard.
When you create a premium, high-ticket offer, your price is based on your leadership, energy, expertise, unique method, and the outcomes you deliver.
Positioning:
Your offer should say, “This is exactly for you. I know your problems better than you can articulate them, and I can solve them faster than you thought possible.”
Example:
When I had a $27 webinar or $250 course, it was so hard to sell. When I had a $2.5K offer, people came, paid, and were the best clients I ever had. Cheap offers brought more questions, frustration, and pain. Premium offers brought ease and the right clients.
With premium offers, you can make six figures with a small account. You don’t need hundreds or thousands of buyers—just a few clients each month.
3. Confident Visibility and Marketing
This is your predictable, reliable, consistent marketing system that allows you to get clients on repeat—when you want, when you need.
- Communicate your value with confidence.
- Establish a simple, repeatable marketing system to stay visible without overwhelm.
Move away from being a blogger—endless tips, tricks, and hacks, posting all the time just to be active.
You are not a blogger; you are an expert and coach.
People do not buy coaching and educational offers from bloggers and content creators.
If you show up as a blogger, your audience sees you as a source of inspiration and free content—not as someone to buy from. High engagement (likes, comments, DMs) does not mean high sales.
As a coach or expert, your focus should be on converting followers into buyers, establishing a strategic presence, and posting content that makes people want to buy from you.
You have to choose:
Do you want likes and engagement, or do you want clients and sales?
A blogger shares random tips and generic advice, focuses on engagement, and speaks to everyone. An expert posts strategic content that pre-sells their expertise, positions themselves as the solution to a clear problem, and speaks directly to one ideal client.
Use clear calls to action that lead to DMs, applications, and sales.
