10 Exact Topics to Sell Your Offer on Instagram (#19)

Welcome to the Business Mindset Style Podcast, a show for women in business who want to make an impact, grow a profitable online business, and live a rich life filled with freedom and fulfillment. I’m Nina Walder, your host, and today we’re diving into one of the most common questions I get: How do I sell on Instagram—without feeling salesy or pushy?
I’ll be sharing with you 10 exact topics to sell your offer on Instagram. These are proven, strategic, and high-converting. I’ve refined them myself over the last 5 years, using these exact topics to get more than 3,000 clients from Instagram, selling anything from $27 offers to $10K packages and everything in between. These topics are designed to build trust, spark action, and sell your offer without feeling pushy or salesy.

Before We Dive In: Mindset and Strategy

When it comes to selling, it’s not just tactics—it’s also about mindset and strategy. I highly recommend you listen to the previous episode, where we covered mindset, confidence shifts, and strategy in relation to sales. That’s the foundation for effortless selling. If you missed it, start there, then come back to this tactical episode.
And if you want to go deeper—if you want to learn how to sell premium offers as a coach, expert, or consultant on Instagram—I’m hosting a free masterclass where I’ll share exactly that. Go to ninawalder.com/clients to sign up. I’ll walk you through the exact steps to sign premium clients consistently, answer your questions live, and do Instagram audits and reviews. If you want my eyes, brain, and advice on your Instagram or strategy, this is your chance. It’s a rare, free opportunity—so go sign up and reserve your seat now.

The Big Picture: Why Content Alone Isn’t Enough

The topics I’m about to share work best when you have a bigger structure in place—a content strategy that builds authority, nurtures consistently, and connects to a clear offer that’s ready to sell. If you’re thinking, “I’ve already been posting that, but I’m still not getting clients or not getting them consistently,” or “I’m attracting the wrong type of buyer,” then it’s time to look deeper.
Selling is a long game. You need trust, a clear offer, and a simple process that converts followers into buyers. If you’re using these content topics only once a month, you’ll probably get one sale a month. Do it more often—daily, if possible.

Real Client Example: Authority and Visual Identity

I had a client recently who told me, “I think I post all that, Nina, but still getting clients is hard and inconsistent.” She’s a brilliant expert with over eight years of experience in her niche. When I audited her Instagram, it was clear why sales were slow:
  • Authority: She posted valuable content, but it was more “blogger style.” For people who didn’t know her, it wasn’t clear why she was a great expert. We needed to bring her authority into the light so her audience could see it.
  • Visual Identity: Her presence didn’t match her expertise. It was a bit messy, not intentionally stylish. You don’t need perfect photoshoots, but you do need intention, consistency, and clarity. As a brand coach, I saw that her chosen color palette looked a bit childish and undermined her authority. With a few simple tweaks, we elevated her visuals, and she started looking like the coach she truly is. After implementing these changes, she got fully booked with clients.
Lesson: These 10 topics work, but you need the bigger picture—strategy, structure, and intentional branding.

The 10 Exact Instagram Content Topics That Sell

Let’s dive into the 10 proven topics you can use to sell your offer on Instagram:

1. Client Stories: Before & After

Talk about your clients—anything and everything about them. Share before-and-after stories. If your work is visual (like fitness or style coaching), show before-and-after photos. But always provide context:
  • What’s the difference between before and after?
  • Why does it matter?
For example, my Pilates coach shared before-and-after photos, but for people on Instagram, it wasn’t obvious what changed. So, you need to explain: “My client came to me with back pain and neck pain. You don’t see it in the photo, but after three or six months, her spine improved, and most importantly, she feels great in her body and has no pain.”
When I worked as a stylist, some clients sent me before-and-after photos. I knew the difference, but people on the internet didn’t have the context. For example, a client’s request was, “I don’t want to wear black anymore; it feels boring and repetitive. I want color.” So, I had to explain why the “after” was better for her, even if some followers preferred the “before.”
If you can’t use client photos, use testimonials, quotes, or case studies. Paint the picture with words:
  • What was their point A?
  • What’s point B?
  • What transformation did you help them achieve?
  • How did you help, and in what timeframe?
Everything in relation to your clients shows you work with real people. Your followers will see themselves in your clients. This builds authority, trust, and credibility—and leads to sales.

2. Your Story

Share your own transformation. Prospective clients want to see you as a trustworthy coach who understands them. If you’ve lived the transformation you help others achieve, talk about it.
  • Why do you do what you do?
  • What’s special about your work, your method, your niche, your offer?
  • Why is it important to you?
When you share your story, people see you’re not just here for the money—you have a mission and a vision. This attracts people.
You can share your story from different angles. For example, when I promoted my offer about body shape, I shared how it used to be a challenge for me to dress my body. When I promoted my feminine style offer, I shared how I used to think feminine style meant wearing heels and being uncomfortable, but now I have a comfortable, feminine style without heels.

3. Inside Your Work

Show the inside of your program, membership, or service.
  • What does it look like?
  • What materials or resources do you provide?
  • What’s the process?
This creates trust. People want to know what they’re buying. For example, I used to show the actual slides and materials from my style coaching programs so people could see the depth and quality. This helps them understand why it’s a paid program and not just free YouTube videos.

4. Behind the Scenes

Share behind-the-scenes moments:
  • Running a webinar
  • Doing a live talk
  • Working with a client
Even if you can’t show clients directly, talk about your process. Be creative—share stories about your work, explain what you do, and why it matters.

5. Burning Questions or Problems

Listen closely to your clients and followers.
  • What are they struggling with?
  • What do they ask you for help with?
Use their exact words and phrases. Show them the path and the possibility. For example, many style clients told me, “I want to dress more feminine at work, but I have a strict dress code.” I’d share “Four steps to a more feminine work style without heels, skirts, or pinks,” debunking the myth and showing the path.
Another common myth: “Black is universal; everyone needs black shoes and a black bag.” I’d debunk that, positioning myself as an expert who understands and speaks their language.

6. Explain Problems Simply

Take your clients’ most burning problems and explain them in simple language.
  • “Nothing fits your body? Here’s why.”
  • “My relationship is falling apart? Here’s why.”
Explain why the problem happens and how to solve it. For example, “You’re emotionally closed, and the solution is simple: do one, two, three. I can walk you through it, and in three to six months, you’ll see results.” This makes clients feel seen and understood, building trust and connection.

7. Your Why

Go deeper than your story—share the meaning behind your work.
  • Why did you create your program or service?
  • Why are you passionate about helping your specific audience?
For example, I created my Style Accelerator program because I wanted to empower my clients to style themselves, not just rely on me season after season. I saw that it was possible to give them the tools and knowledge to look and feel great for any occasion, any season.
Share personal stories, like helping a sister or friend through a challenge, and how that inspired your work. This makes you magnetic and helps you stand out.

8. Actual Sales Content

Don’t assume people know about your offer!
  • Name your offer.
  • Explain what’s included, the results, who it’s for, and how to buy.
People buy with emotion, but justify with logic. Make it clear and easy for them to take action. For example, “Here’s the program, here’s what’s included, here’s how to buy, here’s who it’s for, here’s who it’s not for.”

9. Special Offers

Create urgency and incentive to act now.
  • Limited-time bonuses
  • Scarcity (limited spots)
  • Special pricing for events or holidays
For example, “I have a sales plan this quarter, so I’m offering special bonuses for a limited time.” Tell people about it in your content.

10. Reminders About Your Offer

Remind your audience about your special offer, bonuses, or deadlines.
People are busy and may forget—even if they’re interested!
  • “Only 5 hours left!”
  • “Just 3 spots remaining this month!”
Reminders drive action and increase sales.
